Women and children are among the new homeless population due to high divorce rate, young mothers, and run away teens. The homeless need food, clothing, low cost housing, health services, and better paying jobs. They once again need to become a part of communities.

Homelessness wears down a person's mind and body. Surviving day by day is the main focus. Just worrying about food and shelter leaves people feeling hopeless and helpless. There is no safety or security with being homeless. When a person volunteers their time to helping out they also benefit. Some people are already helping but there are still a lot more who aren't. Governments also need to step in and help. There is no need for people to live like this. Just the littlest thing could make a huge difference.
